Executive Director–Insurance Alliance of Michigan
The Executive Director will lead the development of overall strategic vision and direction for the Insurance Alliance of Michigan (IAM). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to lead a diverse membership of property and casualty insurance companies.
Organization management skills will be essential to marshal the various resources, both internal and external, necessary to create a process-driven, results-oriented team. The Executive Director will serve as the CEO of the association and will create, lead and execute the vision through a newly established strategic plan. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing contacts and relationships with relevant regulators, legislators and thought leaders in the Michigan public policy arena. The Executive Director will also maintain and increase association membership, as appropriate, and manage the assets of the organization.
As Executive Director, the best candidate will have excellent communication skills and serve as the spokesperson for the organization and membership, and the preferred property and casualty insurance expert for Michigan legislators, regulators, and staff. In addition to proven experience and strong leadership skills, prior state trade or association management are preferred. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate proven public policy strategies in shaping laws, administrative rules and case law, and establishing recognized thought leadership in matters affecting the insurance industry.
The Executive Director will be an employee of the Insurance Alliance of Michigan.

Creative Meetings Architect — Think Space
The Creative Meetings Architect serves as the heartbeat for Think Space, a unique facilitation center focused on great experiences and strong meeting outcomes. This position provides the opportunity for exposure to many aspects of the meeting industry, including social media, management, meeting planning, marketing and excellent customer service. The Creative Meetings Architect is responsible for creating a unique and inspired experience for each client that walks through the door.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, responsive, committed and flexible with a professional and friendly personality. Creativity is an essential component in this position to keep the experience fresh for our long-term clients. The position affords the right candidate with flexibility in schedule and several add-on responsibilities.
The Creative Meetings Architect is the primary contact for our clients from planning and design to execution including working with the Meeting Experience Ambassadors who execute the day.

Meetings Experience Ambassador – Think Space
A motivated Meeting Experience Ambassador will prepare the venue, greet clients, assist with audio visual technology, meet caterers, clean up, and attend to the special experience we provide our clients at our unique facilitation center.
Additional responsibilities may include social media, marketing, project assistance and organization.
This position may be able to be tailored to meet the needs of internship credit.
Hours are scheduled on as as needed basis at least one week in advance and shifts may begin at 7am concluding mid-day or conclude after 5pm beginning mid-day. Shifts may be as brief as 3 hours to accommodate LCC/MSU college student schedules. Weekend and evening work is rare.
